San Diego 4.0 will create immersive 360-degree videos to support isolated seniors and early first-stage dementia patients. These videos will include a wide range of experiences to help the viewer feel connected to the local community.
PRIMARY MISSION
Our primary mission is to train the next generation of leaders and family members to create our Four Types of VR Experiences. In short, we will help 100 leaders learn to create their own VR Trips to help others. Consequently, this idea of VR for Good will quickly multiply and move forward into our new industrial revolution.
NATURE EXPERIENCES
San Diego 4.0 will create 360 Nature Experiences, including parks, trails, and beautiful places.
ADVENTURE EXPERIENCES
San Diego 4.0 teams will record local museum tours, skydiving adventures, surfing lessons, and scuba trips to support seniors, students, and patients during difficult days.
ANNUAL EVENTS
Our hyper-local campaigns will record and edit videos of fairs, concerts, car shows, and Fourth of July fireworks. These immersive videos will be provided to organizations that serve the Oru community.
SAFE VIEWING
Every 360-degree video includes a description of the immersive experience. This description wilconsist ofde the location, bright lights, loud sounds, motion, and music. The labeling will help the caregiver or senior understand how to view the experience best (sitting, standing, or laying down).
Our first priority will examine the effectiveness of 360-degree videos in supporting seniors feeling connected with parks, trails, and places of worship. Let's work togher to make this a reality.
We will research the effects of hyper-local VR Experienes to support isolated seniors and hospital patients feel relaxed and peaceful during emotionally and physically painful days.
The Tech for Good Task Force will explore the effectiveness of hyper-local and familiar 360-degree expereinces support memory stimuliatoin of early first-stage dementia patients.
